365.2/12/10: Day 40

Today what made my heart smile, was surprising Alex with a trip to the Bahamas!

That's right babe, we leave Sunday morning!

I began this project after being inspired by my good friend Whitney (that is her and I in the photo above). She is an amazing person, who tends to inspire me quite frequently. We took our photography class together, and when she told me about her Contentment 365 project, I was actually jealous and wanted to give it a shot.
So starting January 4, 2010 I will take a photo and post it here for the next 365 days. Now they won't always be the best photos, as I will take some with my cell phone or small point & shoot camera... but it's not about the photography, although I do hope to improve my skills. I know that I already live a very blessed life with my loving family, wonderful boyfriend and loyal friends, but sometimes... it feels a bit mundane, and this blog might get mundane at times too, but taking a picture and posting it here 365 times, will hopefully allow me to appreciate all the small things that make up my life and who I am.
